
Khiladiz is an entertainment company located in Baltimore mainly focusing on nightlife and variety of South Asian entertainment. Khiladiz was founded in 1998 and incorporated in 2005 by George G. Cherussery and has been in business ever since.
Currently Khiladiz is in a process to expand the business to DC, NY, LA, San Fransisco, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

So how did we come up with the name Khiladiz? Khiladi is a South Asian slang word which means player - as in a player who knows the game or the master of skills. We interpret it as young hype.
In 1998, a tight knit group of guys from Baltimore decided to call themselves by a name- the name which started it all: Khiladiz. Over the years, the group expanded and their name became well-known in the South Indian community. In 2005, Khiladiz was incorporated into a company which primarily focused on entertainment. Now we are focusing on to launch a South Asian social network and an exclusive clothing line. What comes next? You decide.

The Gryphon is found in Greek mythology and is believed to have originated from India. Considered noble and majestic, it has the body of a lion, the king of beasts, but the head and the wings of an eagle- thereby, conquering both land and sky. Gryphons symbolize strength and wisdom and are depicted as guardians of treasure. Representations of the Gryphon are found in art throughout the world.
We chose the Gryphon as our logo and symbol, because it captures and signifies the blending and union of cultures: South Asian, represented by the Gryphon, and American, represented by the Eagle. The Gryphon logo was then designed in the shape of the letter K, the first letter of our brand name, Khiladiz.
